In his studio on the banks of the lovely Erie Canal in Pittsford, NY, Chris Lyons is one lucky dog. Last week, an Art Director from a big newspaper called and read him a story. It was a good story. He went to his studio and starting drawing. A bunch of ideas. She picked one, he finished it, she paid him. Life is good. Chris regularly contributes his art to many fine publications and agencies along with some swell companies. Clients include: Pentagram, The United States Postal Service, The New York Times, TIME Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Conde Nast Traveler, The Utne Reader, Smart Money, Texas Monthly, HOW Magazine, Cramer-Krasselt, McCann Erickson, BBDO, Bartle/Bogle/Hegarty, Saatchi, Ogilvy, Little & Co, Target, AirTran, Mattel. His work has been featured many times in the Communication Arts Illustration Annual and the American Illustration Annual, The Society of Illustrators, LA, Graphis, and 3x3 Pro Show and Creative Quarterly.
A former intern at Milton Glaser Inc, Chris also teaches in the Schools of Graphic Design and Industrial Design at RIT and plays a ton of basketball.
